How we started
March 2015, I resigned from my position as a UPS Supervisor. I began searching for hobbies to occupy my time, and in this era YouTube was pretty popular. I ran across videos demonstrating the process of screen repair, I then understood the demand due to the hype of the new iPhones. Within the next few weeks, I had become quite familiar with the process, and started to accumulate clients, while conducting mobile services.
July 2015, I opened my first location in my hometown, Griffin, Ga. Due to having an amazing support system, the word spread fast. I was then able to open a second location 6 months later.
January 2016, I opened the second location on the campus of the renowned Clark Atlanta University. Having a location in such a college-town promoted not only sales, but it helped brand my business.
By April 2016, I was conducting College Tours at various colleges throughout Georgia. Those universities included Georgia State University, Albany State University, Clark Atlanta, Spelman and Morehouse College as well. It was a marketing strategy and certified money-making project, and also something that no other technology repair store has done publicly before. We setup our own custom tent, filled with accessories, treats, information, and promotions while repairing iPhones in under five minutes. For every location that has been opened I’ve has released commercials to spread the word. I feel that the best way to spread the word is to do it yourself first, and I express that by hiring technicians and crews to film different commercials that he write and direct himself. Featured guest includes Love and Hip Hop Stevie J, Comedian Navv Greene, and Business Mogul Jayda Cheaves.
While building creditability around the state, Level 10 Repairs now provides an online store that services nationwide! The online store is filled with exclusive luxury cases and accessories for both phones and apple watches. Level 10 has became an on-call service provider for celebrities and their families (i.e. Love & Hip Atlanta, Grand Hustle, BET, Tyler Perry Studios, VH1, YSL and many more).
May 2018, I opened a second storefront location in Griffin, Ga and it was an event! What a genius plan of having one store in the city limits, and one outside of the city limits in a high traffic area. This gave Level 10 Repairs the reach to gain customers in 2 surrounding cities as there was no competition in those areas. July 2018, I joined the Chamber of Commerce as the youngest member in history in Griffin, Ga, as well as the Better Business Bureau. This included a huge ribbon cutting celebration, vending pop up shop, and party at our second Griffin location which very spacious. I am featured on several billboards throughout my hometown Griffin, Ga. Many call him a hometown hero. December 2018, Level 10 Repairs won Best Cellphone Repair in Griffin Daily News.
February 2019, God blessed me with the perfect Downtown Atlanta store front location. I broke a record for himself, having the store fully renovated, set up, stocked, and established in only 10 days! Usually it takes us 30 days, but I felt a different spark with this location than all the others.
I am a known philanthropist and activist throughout the state, participating in tons of Back to School giveaways, and Career Days throughout Metro Atlanta. I am also the President of a non-profit foundation, Level 10 and Friends, where I invite the entire community using my platform bringing out a vast of different demographics and races to help feed the homeless annually Downtown Atlanta at Woodruff Park. Last year, Level 10 and Friends fed and donated clothes to over 1,000 people Downtown Atlanta. For the past 2 years, I’ve presented four $1,000 scholarships to graduating seniors at both high schools in Griffin, Ga (Spalding and Griffin High Schools); sending students to Yale University, University of Georgia and more. I feel as if I must give the same opportunities that I was given, although I didn't receive a scholarship, I know that there is someone else working hard to change the environment around them.
Level 10 Repairs is on it’s way to becoming a Fortune 500 Company. I have now completed my goal of turning booth locations to storefront locations. Proving that it is ok to plant your seeds and start small until you build your brand bigger!
And the story goes on...
Thanks to all my family, friends, former colleagues and other small business owners, Level 10 continues to grow in integrity, reputation, service, and efficiency.
